Greetings, Mr. Klein. Re: decorum, propriety, and decency, I would be interested in your thoughts on George Bush Sr./Jr. I almost regret not voting for Sr. (I went for Perot; the public debt did and does scare me); the elder Bush seemed animated by a genuine sense of noblesse oblige. I remember reading a column of yours during the Bush Jr. years, and you were clearly wrestling with a profound disapproval for the actions of W.'s administration, a disapproval that was in conflict with your felt sense of duty to be respectful to the office. I did not come close to voting for Bush Jr., but like his father, he seems influenced by an active conscience, and I wonder if I did not give him enough credit when he was in office. Also, by way of encouragement, I am here for any and all your thoughts on music. I love the way you think about our American musical history, and I have a feeling that you have met a lot of cool people in the business. Blessings upon you and yours.
Another infuriating Democratic immolation is occurring in Texas now. Both Jasmine Crockett and her current wing-man, Colin Allred, have lost their non-strategic minds. Should Jasmine win the primary against James Talarico, she will lose the general by double digits to any of the three terrible Republican candidates. I'd make a prop bet on that. Jasmine is no Barbara Jordan. Jasmine is snarky, smart, well-educated and a bomb thrower of the first water. She denigrates the very swing voters she needs and claims that "turnout" will propel her into office in the general. Hubris, thy name be Jasmine.
Every action has a reaction… and, thank you for pointing out that we have to hold the center. I was a trustee at a university that embraced Kendi and saw very intelligent people abandon the idea of objective truth and equal justice for ‘your truth’ and social justice. There is an attack on Faith, Family, Education, Media, and our Laws by those that want to disrupt and dismantle our Constitution (Gramsci would be so proud) - Our imperfect Founders knew enough to know they didn’t know enough which is the beauty of factions debated in the Federalist papers. I do not agree with you on a lot but I do agree on your AMERICANISM - as perhaps Yeats would say, Hold the center, Mr Klein, hold fast.
I’ll leave my nomination for Stephen Miller as the Worst American of the 21st Century in the basket, thank you. Stiff competition to be sure so you earned this one buddy.
Once again Joe, you have put your ignorance and the ignorance and lies of the lamestream media on full display. There are several points that you get wrong:
1. President Trump has already stated that he did not see the end of the video with the Obama’s heads superimposed on primates before it was released. While I haven’t seen the video, I’ve read that it was about the widespread election fraud in 2020 which is finally being investigated (at least in Fulton County, GA) and was based on the Lion King movie portraying President Trump as the king of the jungle. That seems to me to be a sound message. And when informed of the Obama slide at the end, President Trump had the post taken down. But as expected it had already caused all those afflicted with the mental illness of TDS to set their hair on fire, as you so amply demonstrate Joe.
2. The Obama’s are lying, racist, Marxists, bigots who hate America. The country elected the black guy, twice, and instead of improving race relations he was the most responsible for escalating race tensions. And since Obama is their love child, the idiots in the lamestream media decided to be complicit. But now DOJ/FBI investigations are revealing that Obama authorized Operation Cross Fire Hurricane to create the entire Russiagate hoax trying to bring down the duly elected first Trump presidency. Obama, Brennen, Clapper, Comey, McCabe, etc. knew all along that Trump had no connections to Putin. I remember when the lamestream media’s heads exploded when Trump tweeted that Obama spied on his campaign. It turns out that once again Trump was right.
3. Joe, you have half of this wrong. Yes, President Trump has a huge ego, but that is why he get’s things done. It’s obvious that unlike the Obama’s, he loves this country and its people. Trump is making a real sacrifice, where the Obama’s, the Clinton and Biden crime families and most of the democrat politicians are exploiting the US taxpayer for personal benefit. And frankly at this point, I view Trump’s boorish personality as a feature rather than a bug because he pisses off all the people that I want to be pissed off.
4. I haven’t read Jeremy Carl’s book “The Unprotected Class: How Anti-White Racism Is Tearing America Apart” but the title and his quote “White Americans are increasingly second-class citizens in a country their ancestors founded and in which, until recently, they were the overwhelming majority of the population” is accurate. And Cory Booker is a dumb as a box of rocks ahole who always plays the only card in his hand; race baiting.
5. Joe your confabulation of what you call “white culture” demonstrates how stupid you are. It deserves no further comment. Stephen Miller is the bulldog of the Trump administration to architect the cleanup of the open borders debacle of the Biden administration. Joe, you never complained about the open borders, the 20 or so million unvetted invaders destroying the sovereignty of our country, the third world countries who emptied their prisons bringing an estimate one million criminals into our country, the child trafficking, the fentanyl, etc. all because the demonic democrat party wanted to import a new electorate to keep their politicians in power. It pleases me that Stephen Miller pisses you off.
6. There has always been a shortage of machinists. It’s gotten worse since secondary education eliminated shop classes in high school and promoted the concept that everyone should go to college, making no differentiation between STEM majors and unemployable liberal arts majors. I know a lot of machinists and technicians and it would be a long shot for most of them to earn an engineering degree (on par with journalism majors), but they are good machinists and technicians. Once again President Trump is right; eliminate the Department of Education.
7. Narciso Barranco was a criminal if he was in the US illegally. I don’t have a problem with Mr. Barranco earning residency, but my question is; if he raised two sons in the US then he had the time to apply for legal residency, so why didn’t he do so? Cleaning up the democrat party’s disastrous open border can’t be done with surgical precision and must be done rapidly. So Joe, if you are so concerned about this one individual, what is your concern for the estimated 300k illegal immigrant children that the Biden administration lost track of, many of whom have been trafficked into child labor and the sex trade? What about all of the innocent Trump supporters who were persecuted by the corrupt Biden DOJ/FBI to support their false narrative that Jan.6 2021 was an insurrection rather than a fedsurection?
National populism isn’t going away. Historically conservatives have played by the creed of live and let live. But the progressive leftists, academics, the lamestream media and democrat politicians have been obsessive trying to force their unpopular cultural policies and big government on everyone else. They’ve tried to control the narrative and have rigged elections to maintain power. Their mantra has been; the ends justify the means. Conservatives aren’t playing the old game anymore. And this has nothing to do with “whiteness”; minorities preferring meritocracy over re-enslavement are joining the MAGA movement in droves. Donald Trump is the bull in the china shop that we elected, so is Steven Miller. The agenda has changed. Get used to it.
Your column today sounds like a paean to a quote from Mark Twain, and not to just one president or party: "I will always support my country, and my government when it deserves it.".
Mr. Klein President and Mrs Obama are very kind people. I watched being interviewed by Brian Tyler Cohen on YouTube. Both of them are fighting for democracy together. I like your journalism style. The Obama’s did not deserve to be memed by whomever. They said it was The current President. Then the White House press agent said it was a staffer from the White House, according to MS Now. 250 years ago my family were slave holders, and slave traders. It has been a real struggle with my heart and soul. I don’t believe in slavery. It seemed our history has come to bite us in the fanny. I can verify that neither people are Muslim’s and if they were who gives a damn. There is nothing wrong with the Islamic faith or culture. The gentleman that wrote the book about Obama said he lied to Ari Melber on MSNBC. Such a bad narrative about meming the Obama’s in a bad way. Please subscribe to the Sanity Clause.
I am also saddened by the experience of Narciso Barranco, happy that it has been addressed (a credit to whichever US courts and/or agencies ensured this happened) and grateful for his Marine sons’ service to his adopted country. His treatment is an obvious travesty, as are the conditions created by allowing 20mm illegal entries to our country in a four year period. Narciso wouldn’t have endured such poor treatment if those conditions didn’t exist. They directly led to a popular vote victory for the President that campaigned on a platform promising to rectify the myriad issues caused by the influx.
Of the 1.6 million illegal aliens that now have final deportation orders— half, roughly 800,000, have criminal convictions.

Whether woke or white, identity politics is nearly always about grievance, a profoundly un-American idea.

Narciso Barranco is notably not one of them.
