Wall St. Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich has been held in jail, for no apparent reason, for one year by Donald Trump’s buddy Vladimir Putin. We must express our
outrage—and also wonder: Will this be the fate of American journalists if Donald Trump becomes President.
Joe is right here. And to call this making the issue partisan is to miss the point of everything I don’t believe the former R party is in favor of jailing journalists or wrecking democracy. The Trump party is in favor of both. To call this a partisan comment is to make the survival of democracy in America a l partisan squabble.
I agree we should be outraged, but making this a partisan issue seems short-sighted. All sides of the political elite seem determined to censor media and journalism.
