Joe is right here. And to call this making the issue partisan is to miss the point of everything I don’t believe the former R party is in favor of jailing journalists or wrecking democracy. The Trump party is in favor of both. To call this a partisan comment is to make the survival of democracy in America a l partisan squabble.
My thesis, as a commentator and previously elected representative is that the threat to in the U.S. and liberal democracies everywhere IS due almost entirely to toxic partisanship which leads directly to a democratic deficit. Just look at the issue of incumbency, voter participation and the lack of transparency in government as just three very obvious examples of that.
I agree we should be outraged, but making this a partisan issue seems short-sighted. All sides of the political elite seem determined to censor media and journalism.
Today ‘the media’ stretches way beyond the tentacles and imagination of ‘major news networks’. Exhibit No.1 - The Biden Administration’s attempt to censor social media networks.
Are we seriously still debating these issues. Here are a few examples that I personally was censored for. That the source of the pandemic may have been a lab leak. That the forecasted ‘excess death rate’ was vastly over estimated. That the virus “spread in open air”. That the transmission started well before anyone ever thought. I could go on. These were not “lies”. They were a clarion call to the fact that REAL science is NEVER settled. A clarion call that was clearly censored by both main stream and social media.
However, if you need more examples of the Biden Administration’s attempt to censor the media do a Google search on the discovery of Hunter Biden’s laptop!

Please provide an example of where the Biden administration has threatened to take away the broadcast licenses of the major news networks?

Censor or ask them to take down lies?
