I hope you are right Joe. But the 1972 PLO didn’t have the backing of a wealthy Iran. And speaking of Fatah, weren’t they systematically and ruthlessly crushed by rival Hamas during the “battle of Gaza” in 2007?
I defer to your expertise on the region but with a lifetime of reading (and living) military history, I am racking my brain to find a parallel of leaving a virulent enemy like Hamas intact and not regretting it.
PG--Always good to confer with you. The Fatah of 2007 in Gaza was fat, bureaucratic, corrupt, thirty years later. As for Iran, I think their support of the Muslim Brotherhood (i.e. Hamas)--their mortal enemies in the region--is tactical at best. If we weren't so stupid and arrogant, if we listened to my (our?) friends in military intelligence, the story would be different. But then, I was always a sucker for the mil guys, as opposed to the armchair experts.
The insane overreach in much of the left’s lawfare might very well help get Trump elected. Karma for the self-proclaimed party of “democracy” in having Fanni Willis and Alvin Bragg knee-cap a candidate instead of just beating him at the ballot box.
Regarding going after Hamas in the manner of “Munich” sounds tidy but is hardly realistic. We are talking about battalions of combatants, literally thousands of bad guys. Democrats can scapegoat Bibi till the cows come home for domestic consumption but the Israelis are united in their realization that they will never be safe until these killers are destroyed, sanctuary and tunnels included.
Ps When was the last time the President talked about the hostages, to include the Americans?
Back in 1972, the PLO had thousands of soldiers--and controlled an area of Lebanon called Fatahland (I was there.) Arafat chilled after that. Message delivered.
The New York Stormy Daniel's case is, in my opinion going no where, other can costing New York money. Given the Jon Edwards example, where a Federal Prosecutor decided paying hush money to a mistress was a proper use of campaign funds, just do not see this either taking off or succeeding.
I’m one of the friends who disagree with Joe on some of this. He is right on his point about rhetoric and reparation. - you can depend on the left to keep saying truly stupid things. But they mostly aren’t mean and they mostly are in favor of America. He is right on what Israel should have done from the start - exactly what they did after Munich. He is sadly wrong on the legal cases and Ms McDaniel. Garland should quit , he screwed this all up. He won’t. The fix is in at the court and Joe’s favorite case won’t go to trial before election. The five hacks were chosen for this purpose. They will insure a long enough delay. The New York cases are the only game and Joe is just wrong on their importance. The hirong of Ms McDaniel was a travesty and a betrayal. Joe knows and I know that there is not one chance in 10000 they will deal with her as he suggests. They hired her to normalize Trump. Finally I thought Madow was pretty good. But I would have MSNBC invite McDaniel on and tear her apart.

Ahh, Bo...We'll see who turns out to be right about the Fake Electors case. We seem to agree on everything else.
Not quite. But you’re a great writer anyway
